3. What kind of commitment is expected from volunteers?
Here at Wright, we expect volunteers to be punctual and work the entire shift they sign up for. When it comes to volunteering, it is up to the volunteer how many times they want to volunteer, whether once for a special event or recurring!
4. Can I volunteer with friends or family members?
Absolutely! Volunteering with friends or family members can be a great way to bond and make a positive impact together. Service projects for groups are available based on the museum's needs, with age flexibility on a case-by-case basis.
5. Will I receive training for my volunteer role?
All volunteers receive orientation sessions to familiarize themselves with their roles, responsibilities, and the museum's policies and procedures.
6. Can I volunteer with limited mobility or other special needs?
Yes, we strive to accommodate volunteers of all abilities. Please indicate that on your application when you apply for any special needs or accommodations you may require, and we will do our best to assist you.
7. Is there a dress code for volunteers?
You will receive details on attire a week prior to your shift. Generally, it is all Black or Wright apparel, depending on the type of event you’ll be volunteering at. Volunteers should wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes, particularly for roles that involve standing or walking for extended periods.
