Spring into action with Grow Your Garden, an interactive community event designed to inspire and equip participants with the knowledge and resources to cultivate their green spaces. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just starting, this event offers something for everyone.

Highlights of the Day:

  • Garden Swap – Bring your garden tools, books, seeds, and plants to exchange with fellow green thumbs led by MetroSwaps, plants from Greening of Detroit.
  • Garden Arts & Crafts – Led by Olayami Dabls of Mbad African Bead Museum, participants will create various African Centered patterns to produce a nature-inspired garden make and take using recycled materials from Arts and Scraps for your garden.
  • Mini-Lectures & Workshops – Learn about composting, urban gardening, and food sovereignty from Metro Detroit gardening experts.
