Join us for the 50th Noel Night

Where: Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History 315 E. Warren Ave. Detroit, MI 48201 Who: Noel Night is an open house of the Midtown Detroit and Cultural Center districts that celebrates diverse holiday traditions amid the state's premier arts and cultural institutions, historic churches, galleries, and a growing circle of small businesses. Noel Night provides the perfect backdrop for an evening packed with performances and other holiday experiences with family and friends-all free of charge.

Why: Join us for the 50th Anniversary of Noel Night, an annual Detroit holiday tradition that brings the community together for a magical evening of celebration and cultural expression. Held in Midtown Detroit, Noel Night transforms the neighborhood into a winter wonderland, with local venues, businesses, and cultural institutions-including the Charles H. Wright Museum-opening their doors to the public for a festive, fun, and entertaining night. 

What: At the Wright Museum, experience the season's spirit with a unique blend of holiday traditions and African American cultural heritage (including Santa and Mrs. Claus). The evening features live music, dance performances, storytelling, and family-friendly activities that fill the museum with warmth and joy. Guests can also explore the museum's exhibitions, enjoy art demonstrations, and shop for one-of-a-kind gifts from local artisans in our marketplace.

About the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History
The Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History was founded in 1965 and is in the heart of Midtown Detroit’s Cultural Center. The Wright Museum’s mission is to open minds and change lives through the exploration and celebration of African American history and culture. And Still We Rise: Our Journey Through African American History and Culture — the museum’s 22,000 square foot, immersive core exhibit — is one of the largest, single exhibitions surveying the history of African Americans. The Wright Museum houses over 35,000 artifacts and archival materials and offers more than 300 public programs and events annually.
