WHO: The 2024 season of The Wright Museum's lecture series, "The Wright Conversations"- kicks off with a conversation with political commentator Joy-Ann Reid and Wright Museum President & CEO, Neil A. Barclay.
WHAT: Joy-Ann Reid is a political commentator and television host. She is a national correspondent for MSNBC and is best known for hosting the political commentary program The ReidOut. Her previous anchoring credits include The Reid Report and AM Joy. Reid is the author of four books: #1 New York Times bestseller Medgar and Myrlie: Medgar Evers and the Love Story That Awakened America, which will be the focus of the conversation. She is also the author of Fracture: Barack Obama, the Clintons and the Racial Divide, We Are the Change We Seek: The Speeches of Barack Obama, which she co-edited with Washington Post columnist E.J. Dionne, and The Man Who Sold America: Trump and the Unraveling of the American Story, which spent four weeks on the New York Times best-sellers list.
