The Charles H. Wright Museum Partners with The City of Detroit to Promote Membership
The “Do The Wright Thing!” Membership Drive
(Detroit, MI | January 2025) The Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year. To mark this milestone, the museum’s board of trustees and the City of Detroit have partnered on a new initiative to expand the museum’s membership.
The City Office of Arts, Culture and Entrepreneurship (Detroit ACE) has launched the “Do The Wright Thing!” campaign. This campaign offers City employees an annual museum membership for just $25, which is a $10 discount off the regular fee.
Neil Barclay, the CEO of the Wright Museum, expressed gratitude for the partnership with the City of Detroit, highlighting the campaign as a fantastic opportunity for City employees to experience the museum for a year.
The museum is also encouraging other companies and organizations across Michigan to follow the City of Detroit’s example by offering similar membership discounts to their employees. Interested companies can contact Cedric Scott, Director of Corporate Partnerships and Member Services, at 313-494-5894 or support@thewright.org to customize a campaign for their organization.
