- Dr. Wright’s birthday celebration
- Museum membership drive activities
- Selling of seats in the GM Theater
- “Give a Grand, Make a Million” Program

Michigan Underground Railroad exploratory collective (MUREC)
Inspired by Detroit’s Gateway to Freedom Monument, MUREC's focus is to establish Michigan’s Underground Railroad history as a legitimate and essential narrative that includes a kindergarten through adult Black Studies Curriculum.
Our membership is diverse, representing various disciplines, skills, and communities that have a common interest in the research, preservation, and exploration of the Underground Railroad in Michigan and Ontario.
MUREC’s historic interactive programming includes speakers, field trips to sites across Michigan including the Detroit River borderland, as well as the recognition/plaquing of events and conversations of the 19th-century freedom movement.
