This exhibition reminds us that others view the United States as a model for democracy. Yet, some of the artists remain nameless. Could they be afraid of retribution for creating art that critiques governance in America?
Posters on Politics is a collection of political and philosophical posters created by artists and graphic designers from around the world. The Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History presents this collection of posters showcasing issues of police brutality, social justice, women’s rights, and American politics.
Although many of the exhibition’s themes are universal, one is specific to America’s past president. America, the world is watching, and artists are documenting what they see.
