30 Days To Lose It! Weekly Workout

Get fit with an invigorating workout as a part of The Wright's 30 Days To Lose It! program. Free for members, $5 for non-members. Attend 8 consecutive sessions and receive a complimentary museum membership, making your next 12 months FREE! For more information please email 30days@thewright.org.

All activities take place on the lower level of the museum; please enter through the back (Farnsworth) entrance. Parking is available for a fee in the Cultural Center lot north of Farnsworth, and metered parking surrounds the museum. For your comfort, please bring an exercise mat or large towel for your use to the workouts.

·       To Afro Latin rhythms on June 12 (Tierra Jones, Tierralajay Productions)

·       To R&B/Soul rhythms on June 19 (Tierra Jones, Tierralajay Productions)

·       To Jazz/Blues rhythms on June 26 (Dena Raptis, FIT Enterprises, LLC. ***Please bring an exercise ball!)

According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, four out of five African American women - the leading casualties of such ills as obesity, heart disease and diabetes - are overweight. In response, the 30 Days To Lose It! program, inspired by the hit TV show, “The Biggest Loser,” was launched in March, 2010. Whether you want to lose weight, get fit, or just stay in shape, come dressed to sweat (with an exercise mat or beach towel), bring a buddy or 3 and join this safe, fun fitness program for women endorsed by the Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness, Health and Sports!
