On the 20th Anniversary of the premiere of Daughters of the Dust, The Wright Museum explores this historically and culturally important milestone, both from the angle of the film and also as the accomplishment of a film written, directed and produced by an African American woman, Julie Dash.

 

The program will feature a screening of the film, strolling reception, and interview and discussion with Ms. Dash and a Detroit-based film crew.  Tickets are $20 / $15 for Museum members and students, or $5 for the film screening, only:
