Fairy Wing Making Workshop featuring Taj Bell

Saturday, January 27, 2018 from 11 AM - 1 PM

Pixie pop singer, painter, and ballerina Taj Bell brings her musical talent all the way from Ireland for a fun filled, family-friendly event that kids and adults can enjoy. Bell will share her interest in fairies in a workshop filled with a whimsical atmosphere.

Bell, a Detroit native, spent her teenage years performing in the ballet and had the privilege of studying with Judith Jamison of the acclaimed Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater before going on to win a scholarship at the Interlochen Arts Academy. Her lifelong love of movement and grace has led to a passionate belief in fairies. She is the author and illustrator of "The Little Night Fairy," a magical story of diversity for the young and not so young. Taj is also a very talented singer-songwriter, with gossamer vocals that gently declare her unique message. Her voice was featured on Static Revenger's Everything is Beautiful. She has spent many years performing musical showcases in the US, UK and Ireland. Taj toured Japan fronting Warren Defever's His Name is Alive in 2001. This showcase of pixiepop songs was produced by the wonderful Ray Curran in Derry City and mastered ever so sweetly by Ross Predergast. Listen out for those fairies...
