NAOBI (National Alliance Of Black Interpreters) presents "ASL in the D: A Tribute to Detroit Artists," a sign language talent showcase paying tribute to the Temptations, Supremes, Aretha Franklin, Clark Sisters, Winans family, Big Sean, Eminem, Jackson 5, Stevie Wonder, Anita Baker & more! This event is FREE but love offerings will be accepted. Hosted by Tamara Wright; Master of Ceremony: Aarron Loggins.

The National Alliance of Black Interpreters (NAOBI) Detroit chapter is a non-profit organization based in Detroit, Michigan. Chartered in 2003, its mission is to “Promote excellence and empowerment among African Americans/Blacks in the profession of sign language interpreting in the context of a multi-cultural/multi-lingual ​environment.” NAOBI - Detroit offers events that galvanize and enrich the interpreting and deaf communities. Through professional development opportunities, NAOBI - Detroit aims to increase awareness of the experiences of minority sign language interpreters and foster personal and professional growth among all in the vocation.
