Sunday, July 23 at 2 PM

The text books paint a very different picture of American history. Hear from author, Dr. Gerald Horne, John J. and Rebecca Moores about this misconception that the U.S. was founded on liberty, with slavery as an uncomfortable remnant, but rather was founded solely on slavery.

This program is part of The Wright Museum's opening week of events for Say It Loud: Art, History, Rebellion, and also commemorates the 50th anniversary of the 1967 Detroit Rebellion.

This event is free and open to the public. For more information call (313) 494-5800.
