Film Screening: 1967

Join us for a screening of the film "1967" written and directed by Naeemah Stewart. "1967" is a historical drama set in Detroit during mid July. A joy ride on the town leads three young teenagers in the depths of fear and despair. An intergenerational conversation between Naeemah Stewart and Reverend Dr. Carlyle Stewart, III will take place after the film screening.

This program is part of The Wright Museum's opening week of events for Say It Loud: Art, History, Rebellion, and also commemorates the 50th anniversary of the 1967 Detroit Rebellion.
