Really Living, a local non-profit organization dedicated to helping the terminally and chronically ill in the Detroit community, presents the first annual Really Jazz Concert, featuring performances by Walter Beasley, Lonnie Liston Smith and local Jazz sensation, Lin Rountree.  Really Living was founded in 2002 by Detroit native John Cook, who was diagnosed with End Stage Renal Disease as a teenager and was on dialysis for over twenty years before receiving a kidney transplant in 2010. In addition to being a great concert lineup, this event will help Really Living, which provides free transportation to medical treatments, prescription assistance and emergency bill payment assistance, continue its mission of aiding those in the community who are un- and underinsured.

Tickets are available online at or by calling (248) 996-9040.  For more information please contact John Cook via email at or Aimee Lloyd at
