ArtServe, the leading statewide arts and cultural advocacy organization, presents an interactive learning session about the Creative Impact Michigan statewide communications project, e-magazine and events website, including an editorial advisory discussion where attendees can submit story ideas and leads which demonstrate press-worthy examples of the positive impact creativity is having in or on their community.

Creative Impact Michigan is a bi-weekly online communications initiative which will feature stories, videos and spotlights onto real-life Michigan examples of innovative practices currently deployed across different areas of the state, focusing specifically on instances where creativity, the arts, culture and arts education are being utilized to directly meet the current and future challenges and opportunities faced by the state of Michigan and its many diverse communities. The site also features a fully-searchable statewide arts and culture events calendar database which will be user-generated and free to use, to "connect the dots" for our statewide audience, while also offering an arts and culture calendar service to the many regions of the state which currently do not have an established calendar resource. ArtServe is working with the following organizations as they prepare to launch ArtServe's Creative Impact Michigan project in May:

·  Greater Ann Arbor -
·  Greater Detroit -
·  Encore Michigan (Michigan's source for theater) -
·  Greater Flint -
