Join artist Alonzo Davis for a discussion and recitations by poet Kay Lindsay and Adaora Bandele featuring The Bamboo Muse, a book of Davis' artwork paired with the poetry and prose of twelve writers inspired by his work.  The rich portfolio of this African-American artist uses paint, bamboo, copper, leather, indigenous textiles and mixed media to reflect the magic of the Southwest United States, Brazil, Haiti, West Africa and the Pacific Rim in works which are installed in public, corporate and personal art collections.  This event will explore the intersection of visual and literary arts, and how they can enhance and inspire one another.

This event is FREE and open to the public.
